Applications
One Drop – Many Applications
Samples collected using SampleFacts’ blood devices can be analyzed by a wide range of conventional and modern analyses. The collection device has many advantages compared to the already existing collection cards on the market. The instantly separated dried blood cell and plasma fractions can be analyzed using omics-analyses of DNA, RNA, proteins, ions etc.

SampleFacts Blood Collection Device
Our device is specifically designed for large-scale sample processing by high throughput punching robots, available in many laboratories, facilitating pre-analytical sample preparation. The possibility of using small punches for analysis permits storing the rest of the dried samples for further analysis at later timepoints, making the device a perfect fit for longitudinal studies and biobanking in general.

Research, Clinical Trials and Drug Development
The SampleFacts blood sampling device enables improved analysis (multi-omics) of samples in research, including longitudinal studies without requiring venipuncture by healthcare providers. Its remote self-sampling capability streamlines clinical trial recruitment, facilitates treatment response monitoring, and enables accessible high-throughput analyses. Additionally, its design supports convenient biobanking of consecutive blood cell and plasma samples, providing a valuable advantage for research and drug development.

Preventive Care
Empowering individuals to biobank their own samples can promote greater health consciousness, enabling proactive preventive care and early detection. By biobanking samples when donors are healthy, baseline levels of biomarkers can be established that may vary among individuals due to factors such as age, sex, genetics, lifestyle, and medical history. Comparisons of an individual’s results to those for earlier samples can help demonstrate whether the results deviate from the norm, perhaps pointing to a condition that may motivate preventive action. Such baseline values allow for a more personalized approach to healthcare, helping tailor prevention and treatment strategies.

Healthcare
Enhancing healthcare through convenient, remote sample collection at the onset of acute symptoms enables rapid diagnostics and timely intervention. Continuous monitoring of disease progression and therapy effectiveness supports personalized treatment, while biobanking for follow-up ensures long-term insights. Additionally, improved accessibility to these services broadens access to quality care for diverse populations.
